In the event of an accident, the hirer is responsible for paying the accident penalty (the excess amount beyond the insurance coverage). The excess amount varies based on the vehicle's value:
The maximum excess amount can be up to AED 10,000. Additionally, daily rental charges will apply until the vehicle is fully repaired. In case of "TOTAL LOSS" (damage beyond repair), the hirer agrees to pay 30% of the vehicle's insured value plus the accident penalty. Comprehensive insurance is provided as per UAE law, but a Police Report is mandatory for all accidents.
Our rental vehicles are strictly for use within the United Arab Emirates (UAE). If an accident occurs outside UAE jurisdiction, the hirer will be fully responsible for repair costs and the rental loss during the vehicle's repair period.
Drivers between 21 to 25 years old will need to pay an additional 10% of the claim amount, along with the excess amount. Insurance coverage is only applicable to drivers over 21 with a valid license for at least six months. In the event of an accident involving a driver below these thresholds, the driver will be liable for all repair expenses, including daily rent until the vehicle is repaired.
A service charge of AED 10 will be applied to each fine or penalty imposed by the RTA, police, or municipal authorities during the rental period. Salik (toll charges) will be billed at AED 5 per crossing. If no weekly or monthly rate was agreed upon in advance, the daily rate will be applied.
If an accident occurs while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the driver will be held fully responsible for the damages and losses, including liability to official authorities. The hirer must pay comprehensive compensation for vehicle damage in such cases.
In case of any technical or mechanical issues, the hirer must immediately inform Renter Point. Repairs should not be attempted by the hirer. If mechanical problems result from misuse of the vehicle, the hirer is responsible for repair costs and rental charges until the vehicle is restored.
The vehicle must not be used for off-road driving, racing, rallies, or competitions. Any damage resulting from such activities will be the hirer’s responsibility. Only the hirer or additional authorized drivers can operate the vehicle. Subleasing is prohibited, and the vehicle cannot be used to transport prohibited items.
Renter Point is not responsible for any cash or valuable belongings left inside the vehicle. However, we maintain a lost and found policy as part of our customer service to help retrieve lost items.
The hirer is allowed up to 350 km per day and 5,000 km per month. Any distance beyond this will incur a charge of AED 0.50 per km. Rentals are based on 24-hour periods, with a late return fee applied if the vehicle is returned more than one hour after the agreed time.
Rental terms cannot be extended beyond the agreed period. In case of delayed return or unreachability, Renter Point reserves the right to remotely disable the vehicle.
Vehicles can be returned between 9 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 10 pm, from Saturday to Thursday. A fee of AED 200 applies for vehicle returns on Fridays or public holidays. For pickup services, please contact us at least two hours in advance.
Free delivery and pickup are available within 60 km of Dubai International Airport (DXB). For areas beyond this radius, a fee of AED 200 per trip will be charged.
